Alexa Chung: style crush

Sometimes you admire a person's style for the very reason you feel you can't possibly emulate it. Alexa Chung is one such person for me.

Style-wise, she's basically everything I'll never be. Let's start with model-tall with long, perfect pins right up to there, instantly making her the perfect 'clothes horse' upon which to hang otherwise tricky fashions - and ones I'd never attempt. Pinafore and knee-high socks? No problem! Short shorts and wellies? Why, it's her festival outfit. Cream tunic and black opaques? It's basically her uniform.

And now Alexa has scored her own TV show, Frock Me With Alexa Chung, which is a celebration of all things fashion - and music. Presented alongside top designer Henry Holland and style expert Gemma Cairney, the series shares top tips and advice on how to wear the clothes you already own and hot new trends from ‘military’ and ‘prints’ to ‘romance’ and ‘festival’.

Each episode will look at an inspiring fashion theme from the catwalk, to the celebs and how to replicate it on the street. Along with the latest fashion news, Alexa goes behind the scenes of the fashion and music world to interview stylish celebrities and fashion icons including Gossip Girl’s Taylor Momsen, singer Lily Allen, and The City’s Olivia Palermo. I cannot wait.

Frock Me also features live band performances from Sophie Ellis Bextor, Gabriella Cilmi and Marina and the Diamonds.

Here is an episode guide:
Episode 1 - Military
Episode 2 – Underwear as outerwear
Episode 3 -Prints
Episode 4 - Americana
Episode 5 - Romance
Episode 6 - Festival

Frock Me with Alexa Chung screens Thursdays at 9.30pm and Saturdays at 6.30pm on LifeStyle YOU, available on FOXTEL and AUSTAR.
